North Bristol Relief Sewer animation

This 6.5 km pipeline was designed by Wessex Water to direct waste more efficiently around North Bristol, to their water recycling centre in Avonmouth. It was constructed using a range of engineering technologies, including a 5.5km section of Tunnel Boring, as well as open trench and “no dig” Pipe Jacking. Islandmonkey’s animation helped Wessex Water explain the Relief Sewer project to local communities and the media, both before operations began and then during each phase of development.
