Overview
Atos Medical’s HMEs (Heat and Moisture Exchangers) are key to the lung health of patients following a Laryngectomy, and throughout their lives post-surgery. Positioned over the Stoma through which the patient breathes, HMEs maintain a healthy humidity in and dust-free flow of air to the lungs. Our animations show in detail, the simple insertion and removal of HMEs from the silicone adhesive cup which holds the HME in place during exhalation and even coughing episodes.
